Often over the last few years I have had skunks show up. On my porch, waling down a trail from my home. Walk out and find one sitting oout side looking at me and I have always been in awe when I see these kids. I have even gone out of my way to go down by the barn when I see the young-un out playing. I love these kid. But I never thought of then as totems till the middle of last night when I got up to see if my cat had showed up yet. I thought the eyes I was seeing heading up from my barn was my cat. and when I called his name these eyes sped up. I was certain it was my Jet. To my surprise it was a young skunk that came right to me within about 4-5 feet. I have named this kid Jet le pew(sp?) because his did speed up when I called out that name. And the Things I have found out about the skunk totem to be pretty close, almost scary close. They are the most wonderful creatures I see regularly. And I do have many.
