Tea Tree Oil is a Quick Fix from Mother Nature

Tea Tree is one of marvelous Mother Nature’s quick fixes for the face. The human race didn’t actually invent the “quickie”, Mother Nature did.
I am indeed a proponent of abandoning fast food, but “fast face” certainly has a time and place in my life. I appreciate some things for their slowly unfolding benefits (like fine wine, aged cheese, even some perfume oils), but others for their efficiency and ease. Tea Tree fits into the later category. It’s fast acting.
This healing and cleansing essential oil is derived from the leaves of the Melaleuca Alternifolia, a plant native to Australia, and has a long history of use for healing infection. Australian aborigines relied on these leaves to treat wounds, burns and abrasions.
Tea tree oil has proven to be effective as an antiseptic and applying the oil to your skin kills petulant acne causing bacteria. The elements found in Tea Tree oil are highly beneficial to the skin and have been shown to reduce inflammation quickly.
Tea Tree ‘Green’ Factor: One tree can actually provide oil for over 60 years, meaning the trees do not need to be harvested for their oil. How’s that for sustainability?!
One product that I use at home, and we use in facials at the spa, is the TEA TREE MASK by Arcona. It’s a cleansing, purifying mask that detoxes and refines skin texture. Antibacterial salicylic acid and tea tree extract help exfoliate, decongest and diminish pore size. Sulphur and grapefruit extract assist in detoxifying and reduce breakouts. Anti-inflammatory mint balm, allantoin and lavender extracts help heal and calm the skin.
DIRECTIONS
Once or twice weekly, morning or night. A slight tingling sensation might occur, but I like that part! Leave it on your skin for 10-15 minutes (or if you are have sensitive skin then only 5-8 minutes). Rinse with warm water, pat skin dry and then hydrate your skin with your favorite cream, oil or lotion. Results are quick and gorgeous.

If you get me started in the product recommendation department…I might go on all day!
The Arcona product line is natural and results-oriented. That’s a winning combo in my book so I personally love this line. We sell Arcona Natural Skin Therapy both in store at IO spa and online at http://www.iowebshop.com. My product favorites from this line are the Golden Grain Gommage for double-exfoliation and Toner Tea bar for a thorough cleansing with enzymes and antioxidants. I like to cut my Toner Tea bar in fourths or at least in half before using it that way I can take one piece with me when I travel and get more uses out of the soap bar. I also use the A.M. Acne when I have a breakout for fast and targeted results. It’s a clear liquid that is worn during the day under your sunscreen or makeup. It’s nice to have a spot treatment that you can actually leave the house wearing. Masks work wonders too, but those are great for when you are in the privacy of your own home.
