Welcome to the International Orange (IO) blog, written by me, Amy Darland, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of IO. As I set out to write this blog, my intention is to share what I know about living richly and doing it in a beautiful, healthy, balanced way. Ahead, you will find writings about skin and body care, wellness, natural and organic products, cleansing foods, yoga, alternative healing, personal growth, sustainability and any other subjects that I believe need to be shared.
On occasion co-writer special guests may grace the page with me, so look for those posts in the future as they too will be full of data and detail worthy of sharing.
Along with my friend and business partner, Melissa, I lead the charge in running our spa/yoga studio in San Francisco and our organic body care line. IO and International Orange organic products are blessed to be San Francisco favorites and both endeavors have allowed me to bring my passions for beauty and wellness into my place of work and to our IO community of gifted practitioners and loyal clients.
Recently, I returned from a mostly solo two-month journey through Southern Asia including India, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and Laos, where I got to know myself a lot better and had the honor of exploring various forms of alternative healing, treatments and spiritual practice with amazing teachers and generous local people that became fast friends. I look forward to sharing with you my experiences and learning.
“BE HAPPY” was the short and enlightening tip that a teacher of mine in India smiled and shared with me as I was grimacing deep in a yoga pose. Let’s see if together we can manifest that simple and yet novel goal!
